Ponytale Books @ 35th International Kolkata Book Fair

Ponytale Books is participating at the ongoing 35th Kolkata International Book Fair through its distributor for eastern India, Knowledge Storm, at Stall No. 16, Hall No. 1.

Our entire title list is on display here as well as at other stalls in Hall nos. 1 to 5 as well as in some stalls in the open area at the Milan Mela grounds. These include Sunil Gangopadhyay's Kakababu adventures - The Dreadful Beauty (Bhoyonkor sundor) & The King of the Verdant Island (Sabuj dwiper raja); Sirshendu Mukhopadhyay's hilarious adventure The Ghost of Gosain Bagan(Gosai baganer bhoot); Samaresh Basu's Gogol Adventures - Rajdhani Express Mystery & other Stories; and Premchand's Selected Short Stories and our recent publication Suchitra Bhattacharya's detective Mitin mashi adventure, The Arakiel Diamond (Arakieler here).

The Arakiel Diamond will be launched by Nirmal Kanti Bhattacharjee, Director, K K Birla Foundation at Allahabad Bank AC Hall, near the Guild Office from 5.30 pm to 6.45 pm on Friday, February 4th.

Apart from translations, we have also published a range of books from original fiction on contemporary themes and historical events to inspirational non-fiction such as Ira Saxena's Curse of Grass - on the first Chipko movement in 1730s; Nimish Dubey's inspirational stories from Indian history and sports - Kesariya Bana & other tales of Valour and Not Out: Heroes from the World of Sport; Ramendra Kumar's story of a father-son relationship, Now or Never; and Charu Bahri's story of growing up and finding oneself in Star Struck; and Sanjay Rawat's Paheli bujho aur banao, a do-it-yourself book.
